Family displaced after house fire in West Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC)- Birmingham firefighters battled a house fire in the 1600 block of Alemeda
Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
A family was home at the time and told FOX6 News that they smelled smoke.
They left the house without injury and called 911.
The house has been heavily damaged inside by smoke and part of the interior
ceiling has collapsed. There was no working smoke detector in the house. The
family said they rented the home.
